Native
Traditions and Beliefs
Many
people, especially of western culture appear
to have the conception of Native American
beliefs as being aligned with reincarnation
and the mystical arts which it supports. Unfortunately,
this is a misconceived notion as with our
honorable dealings with native friends has
proven, there is nothing within Native tradition
and value which dictates this stance or thought.
Native
tradition sees a more relevant value in their
ancestors right to continue their journey
as the beings they are - they are not lessor
for it and many have succeeded in education
and enlightenment far beyond the grave as
they continue to live in the rich pastures
of their heritage.
Their
grandfathers, grandmothers and all generations
gone before still simply exist within the
ether world dynamic as part of the issuing
cosmos of Creator: They exist with them and
watch over them. Love continues to come from
them as they now extend their watch over all
of us, observing how we threaten our world
and all beings upon it with our attitude and
lack of reverence, whereas they tried to live
a more harmonic, if at times, spartan existence.
These
are not lost souls; damned for any reason
for whatever religious value they kept, nor
are they to be belittled by statements of
lesser worth, citing perhaps, these folk never
truly brought spiritual wisdom into their
lives for the reason as to why they are still
in the ether world and not reincarnated here!
They have increased their acknowledgment of
who they are as beings of spiritual value
and growth through the path of continual renewal,
energy which exists for every being.
There
is evidence that ancestral knowledge and wisdom
continues to be handed to beings through spiritual
guidance and connection from them as for some
of us, and we are blessed with experiences
of connection with spirit guides and helpers,
many of whom may be native or indigenous peoples
from all over the planet. This can be a way
for many in the spirit world to continue to
help those having a physical life, by sharing
their love and caring for us in profound ways.
We
thank them and bless them with love, for all
they do on behalf of humankind.
