"The
more you use your inner strength, the more
it will grow. It is only your fear of darkness
that makes you stumble."
|

You
may not think that negativity
affects you. You may say to
yourself, "I'm not a negative
person; I try to be a positive
person. It's just that things
just seem to go wrong through
no particular fault of my own
and I don't understand why.
It's other people."
But
all of this happens because
negativity is affecting
you. You just don't realize
it. You don't see it coming
and you don't know how to fight
it head-on before it gains the
upper-hand. You see, you have
the know-how to combat it, but
first, you have to be able to
identify it.
Negativity
comes in so many forms and guises
and we are going to try to highlight
as many ordinary situations
you may come into contact with
so you may get an idea of exactly
what we mean.
See
if you recognize any of these:

You
feel life is unfair?
That it's okay for everyone
else because they're not
like you.
That the world is doomed
and full of evil so what's
the point.
You feel that you're not
good enough.
That something terrible
is going to happen.
That you need people to
like you to make you feel
worthy.
That you hold yourself
back because you feel
you will make a mistake.
That you have good intentions
for growth or change,
but always change your
mind.
|
Do
you ever think:
I am useless.
I always fail.
I am not like others.
I don't deserve to be happy.
I always
fail because that's the
way I am.
I am not strong like other
people. |

Do
you feel lethargic and bored with your
life?
Are you always getting ailments or diseases?
Are you always tired?
Do you need alcohol or drugs to make
you happy?
Do you feel insecure in relationships?
Do you feel unloved? |
Do
you feel insecure and trapped?
Do you hate your self image?
Do you follow others who think you are
successful?
Do you look to see who you want to be
by watching others?
Do you feel like you aren't connecting
with your journey of life?
Do you feel depressed, suicidal even? |
|
The
list is endless.
You
see, you may not have realized that any of these
emotional states of being can be caused first
and foremost by negativity. You may put these
symptoms into boxes of their own, such as depression,
paranoia, addiction, obsession, low self-esteem,
lack of confidence, insecurity etc., but not have
actually pinpointed the cause, because maybe nothing
overwhelmingly awful had happened to you to bring
it on. Maybe something
has and then it is obvious, but we must deal with
the more subtle and less apparent reasons for
clarity.
Negativity
is like a drug in itself, except it's infectious
as well as addictive. The more you come into contact
with it the more it becomes entrenched into your
personality without you realizing it. The bright
and cheery person you used to be can become a
distant memory and true happiness can seem to
be unachievable ever again.
It
is because the more negativity you have, the more
you get, because it is like a magnet. It attracts
more to itself. It is self-perpetuating energy.
But, the good news is that negativity is only
able to exist if you give it your attention. If
you don't feed it and give it strength by succumbing
to the effects, it can get nothing from you and
it goes away. And in our books we explain how
you may achieve this.
